On Saturday, March 25, the Saegertown boys varsity volleyball team competed against 11 other teams at the non-conference Cambridge Classic Tournament. The jv tournament was held at Saegertown High school with a field of ten teams. Both tournaments started at 9 a.m.. “We did alright. The team could have done better though,” junior weak side hitter Owen Chess said.

The varsity team had a rough start in pool play, but during playoffs they played better as a team. They made it to semifinals where they had a tough loss to Cambridge.

The jv team lost to Cochranton in the semifinals. “The team did really well together,” sophomore setter Raef Rhoades said. The boys will be competing in the Bobcat Invitational March 31 and April 1 at Northeastern High School. “I’m excited, but I’m also a little nervous because it’s my first time, but I think we will do well,” freshman Ethan Hayes said.
