Marching Band season comes to a close

After months of practice, football games, and competitions, the marching band season has come to a close.  On Oct 29. the band performed in the LMBA (Lakeshore Marching Band Association) championships.  With a score of 79.18, the Panthers took fifth place with less than two points separating them from fourth. Although this season may not have been the band’s most successful, members say it was a learning experience. “Musically, we had a harder show this year.  Lower placement forced us to work harder for better scores,” said junior Matt Prinkey.  As the season progressed, the band saw changes in the scores as a result of this hard work.  “It was rewarding to see our score increase gradually the whole time,” said Prinkey.
While members look forward to a break from the busy schedule, marching band instructor Mr. Patrick Baldwin is already making plans for next year.
