LOL. It doesn’t mean laugh out loud
One of the fastest growing free online games around, League of Legends, has slowly been gaining popularity in our school. Classified as a Multi-player Online Battle Arena (MOBA), the game pits teams of five or three players against each other in a fight to destroy the enemy base, known as the Nexus. The game boasts a roster of over 70 playable “champions,” each unique in style and appearance, but all of which start at the same level each game and get stronger as the game progresses. Currently a small group of known players exist in the school, but the list has gradually been growing since the release of the game. Some of these gamers include senior Caleb Ohmer; juniors Brendan Byham, Mackinzie Price, Seth Allen, and Eric Brocious; and seventh grader Aidan Byham. Brendan said, “Of all the online games out there, I have found that League of Legends seems to be the most well rounded, easily accessible, and fun to play by myself or with friends.” For more information or a free download visit http://na.leagueoflegends.com/.
